To me hatred amongst the 'have nots' is bred and spread by the upper classed through media control. It is in their interests to keep us fighting with each other. 'divide and conquer'

The first most destructive impulse is that of the male domination upheld by blue blood male rulers of all nationalities. Beyond the male preference comes family, in the form of nepotism.

I think the real question about 'more hatred toward blacks or gays' is really: Given my point about the power structure, Why is this question being asked? If we look into who is studying these things and reporting on them, we soon see the source is at the top of the pyramid.

Until we all organize under one banner that recognizes these simple facts, we will be forever spinning our wheels and praying for change. I know that sounds negative, but it is the absolute truth.

I actually wrote about that study after reading it back in January (http://tinyurl.com/acqkdy) - I saw it a little differently as I don't think it was intended to say "Gays are worse off" than blacks but rather, people are more likely to admit their disapproval of gays.

I don't think the study could ever be accurate. Internalized racism is more recognized when we start to externalize it - so if someone was about to answer a question that would indicate some racist feelings, they may be less honest as they recognize it as racism and don't want to be perceived as a racist.

If the study were to blanket the statement "gays are worse off than blacks" it would be moronic because not all nuances are considered. Now, if it said "Better to be black in Nigeria than Gay," I may have to agree because homosexuality is punishable by death under Sharia Law whereas skin color is not - historically, I think it's obvious that the struggle of the "black man" has been far harsher with broader consequences than many are willing to admit.

One of these days I'd love to have a chat with you about racism and my experiences growing up in a very racist environment. Pick your brain a bit if I may.
