I’m thinking this is a smart move, but I know all those Hillary-lovin’ homosexuals who criticize every move Obama makes will cry foul. President Obama is backing off on Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT) - for now:
. . . Obama, who pledged during the campaign to overturn the law, does not want to ask lawmakers to do so until the military has completed a comprehensive assessment of the impact that such a move would have on military discipline.
Then, the president hopes to be able to make a case to members of both parties that overturning the 1993 law would be in the best interest of national security.
I see this political maneuvering as a sign of great things to come. It will take some work to convince the right people that Clinton’s DADT is a horrible policy that’s more harmful than good. It’s a smart move to build support for repealing DADT – especially since the LGBT community also expects Obama to repeal the anti-gay Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), another gift from the Clintons.
If I hear one homosexual complain about Obama’s recent move on DADT, I will expect them to also bitch about Hillary Clinton refusing to support a full repeal of DOMA, the anti-gay law that she helped Barr draft when she was First Lady.
Back off my president, bitches!
